Raducanu had to battle for that hold of serve but she takes it when Sramkova hits a big serve from the Brit wide.

Sramkova saves the first, drawing Raducanu into the net before firing past her, but some brilliant play at the net from the Brit seals the break at the second opportunity.

And there's a rye smile from the Brit as the cries of "We love you Emma!" start early.

Raducanu will feel confident here given her performance the other day. But these two are very close in the rankings and Sramkova did upset Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova in the first round.

Emma Raducanu was in supreme form on Tuesday as she overcame Cristina Bucsa 6-1 6-2.

Three Brits started the day in the singles draw, only Raducanu remains.

And thanks to Katie Boulter's defeat earlier, Raducanu will go above her in the rankings. Meaning she will become official British number one when the world rankings are published on Monday.

She faces a player who is inexperienced on grass in Rebecca Sramkova, competing in only her second Tour level grass-court tournament.

Elena Rybakina: "It was a tough match. She played really well. I am pretty happy with my game especially in the second set.

"I was waiting for my match and was starting to practice and I decided to play doubles also. It was good preparation. Hopefully with every match it will be better and better.

"I am enjoying my time here and I am really happy we are able to play here. It is a really nice club with a lot of traditions."

Watson has had a couple of break points but Rybakina keeps saving them. Which way is this one going to go?

Watson battles to stay in this and has a break point, but Rybakina keeps her composure to nail a couple of strong serves - including hitting an ace - to twice save break point.

Another ace then puts her within touching distance of the win but Rybakina fails to take advantage as she finds the net with her forehand.

But Rybakina's crosscourt forehand has done plenty of damage in this match and it seals the double break that ensures she is now serving for the match.

"YES!" screams Watson as she whips a forehand down the line with Rybakina wrongfooted. That's one break point saved...

Watson is starting to look frustrated as she puts a shot into the net and Rybakina has two break points...

Rybakina powerful hitting is giving Watson some trouble now as the 25-year-old holds and edges closer to victory.

An excellent drop shot by Watson leaves Rybakina with too much to do and it is advantage, before a strong serve seals the hold.

Some really good serving by Watson gets her into a strong position on her serve but a shot down the line by Rybakina is in by a slither before Watson is caught out by a crosscourt forehand and it is deuce.

It is another love hold for Rybakina. After we started this set with the longest game of the match so far we are flying through them now.
